Our story
1988 — Company founder Trip Pittman, an industry veteran who grew up around the equipment business, launches Pittman Tractor Company, Inc.
2000 — The company expands and secures its present location on Milton Jones Road in Daphne, Alabama.
2016 — Pittman Tractor adds Dynapac and Kawasaki Loaders as authorized brands.
2018 — Second-generation owner Lee Pittman joins the team, driving the company's strategic growth and expansion.
2019 — Kawasaki Loaders transitions to Hitachi, becoming one of our core wheel loader lines, and Pittman Tractor adds Midland Road Wideners as an authorized brand.
Today — Pittman Tractor Company, Inc. is a locally owned and operated dealer in heavy equipment and repairs, serving customers well beyond the Gulf Coast.
Equipment dealing runs in the Pittman family well before 1988 — Lee's great-grandfather ran a dealership in Birmingham, and his grandfather ran one in Mobile. When Lee joined his parents, Trip and Lynn, in the family business, he brought a fourth generation of equipment-dealer experience into the company.

Rentals & service
Beyond equipment sales, Pittman Tractor rents asphalt, paving, and concrete equipment, compactors, dozers, excavators, dump trucks, sweepers, wheel loaders, and more — with delivery available. If a rental unit goes down on the job, we can repair it quickly or swap in a replacement machine so your project doesn't stall.
